Christmas & New Year's Day Trash and Recycling

There will be no curbside collection of trash, bulky waste or recyclables on Christmas Day, Wednesday, December 25th 2024 or New Year's Day, Wednesday January 1 2025. There will be a one-day delay for pickup of all municipal solid waste and recyclables collection for the remainder of the week following Christmas Day and New Year's day.  Friday’s regularly scheduled collection will be on Saturday.

Christmas tree pick up for Torrington residents will begin Monday, January 6th and end Friday, January 10th.  Christmas trees will be picked up with separate trucks on the same day as trash.  Trees should not be placed curbside until their collection day to prevent plows from covering them with ice and snow.  Trees must have all tree stands, ornaments, lights and tree bags removed. Condo Residents:  Trees will be picked up anytime during the week of January 6th starting at 6 AM.
